Scholarships

Now we come to the heart of why we created the CYF: Scholarships. Now, you may be asking yourself: “Doesn’t my kids sports program already have a scholarship”? The answer to that is probably. BUT, these groups need to go by a specific sheet which takes in the gross income of a household and bases the scholarships on that. What they do not take into consideration: The current economy.

This is where we come in! We intend to work with individuals as well as organizations to provide the coverage for the additional gap. Please Note: We do not help with scholarships to programs that are for profit. If you apply for help with an organization we do not know, we will research it before giving an answer. CYF is here to help the other non-profit groups that support youth sports.

A good example of how we help:

• You sign up for youth football.
• Your scholarship covers all fees except for $100.
• You are a paycheck to paycheck household and even an extra $100 is hard to swing.
• You apply to CYF to cover the remainder.
• We reach out to you and eventually the program, and we will take care of the remaining balance.
